Plasma Cutting Welding Project Lawn Edger. Not wanting to spend 40 dollars on a lawn edger I decided to build one using scrap metal. For this project I used my new plasma cutter and MIG welder. The store bought lawn edger's that I looked at were flimsy and would bend easily with hand pressure. I fabricated mine using 1/8" plate and 1" black iron pipe. Its so rugged you could use it to split firewood! This was a fun and easy DIY welding project. In this video I explain the basics of how a plasma cutter works, what the consumables look like, how to change consumables and a handy chart to extend the life of your consumables.
